Tell us a bit about your daily wellness routine.
My body is hyper-sensitive to dehydration, especially when I am pregnant! I start my day with 1-2 huge glasses of water right after I wake up. I find it's even more critical during the dry winter months. I keep my breakfast relatively light as lunch is my favorite meal; so I will have a smoothie with lots of good veggies and some protein. I take my Binto supplements in the morning, too, mostly because it's the time of day I am best at remembering. I try to take a real lunch break every day - it doesn't always happen but it makes such a difference for my mental health when I do. I eat my biggest meal at lunch, usually a large salad or leftovers with a piece of fruit - the earlier I can hit my veggie quota for the day, the better. My goal in the new year is to go for a walk at least a few times a week and maintain my 9/10 pm bedtime. I'm not great on no sleep and need to catch up now before the twins arrive!
What product can’t you live without?
My Dyson cordless vacuum. I like a tidy home and have a hard time focusing if it's messy.
What was the defining moment when you realized you could take your health into your own hands?
I have stage 4 endometriosis and had been laser focused on obtaining the care of a specialist in 2021. After a herculean effort to provide endless documentation, referrals, etc. the end results was a five minute phone call with a physician that cost hundreds of dollars and gave me no additional information on the best way to treat my disease, other than that they could operate. I had an epiphany that my quest for relief would need to be much more holistic and patient-led. Surgery is most likely still in my future after this pregnancy, but I've made so much progress in my care since taking ownership of my journey. I hope that one day our healthcare system can be more well-rounded and connected in providing whole-self care but for now am grateful for wellness partners like Binto that have worked in partnership with my doctor's recommendations to increase intake of NAC for example, with good success.
Have you seen your wellness routine evolve over the years?
Absolutely! As I've gotten older I've started to really appreciate my health and make it more of a priority. In the past I thought of wellness as being either sick or not sick - now I realize that it's everything in between in our daily life that really comprises our wellness. My routine has evolved to accommodate wellness as an every day priority.
Do you use BINTO? How do you stick to your routine?
Yes! I believe this is my third year using Binto. It's as routine to me now as drinking water, but I have to take mine in the morning to ensure I remember.
Favorite supplement in your Binto pack-Go!
Pre/pro-biotic... my packet changes throughout the year pending a lot of factors, but this supplement is my constant.
How do you take your wellness routine on the go?
Honestly I'm ALWAYS on the go; so my routine has been built around my lifestyle instead of vice versa! Probably one of the many reasons Binto works for me - so easy to grab and take daily wherever I am.
Do you feel like there is something you’re still searching for in your wellness journey?
Endometriosis is a chronic condition with no proven cure, so unfortunately my journey to find relief and answers is currently indefinite. Research and funding is getting better every day, so I'm hopeful there will be a breakthrough in my lifetime! Aside from endo, I'm currently hyper focused on my skin. I've been battling acne for the majority of my adult life and I am so ready to figure it out! The zinc in my Binto packets definitely helps and has been a great first step for me in considering holistic solutions. Like everything else, I'm sure it's connected to the hormonal challenges I face from endo, so perhaps whatever relief I find will be a two-for-one :)
What's your BE Vitamin for 2022?
Calm, including well-rested, and headache free ;)
