BINTO: Tell us a bit about your daily wellness routine.

On an ideal day, I wake up by 7am, brush my teeth, scrape my tongue and drink 12oz of warm water while gently stretching and/or meditating.

Then comes my favorite part of the day – my coffee! I like to add MCT oil, collagen, ghee, pumpkin spice and organic 2% milk to my coffee so it’s really foamy and delicious. This keeps me full through my morning workout until breakfast. Breakfast is usually a bowl of oatmeal with fruit and nut butter, a yogurt parfait, or eggs with greens and avocado. Protein, fat and fiber!

Depending on the day, I’m either running around the city all day or sitting at my desk working. Regardless of the day, I try make time to sit down and eat lunch, drink plenty of water and take my Binto. I like to take it after lunch because I find it helps me feel less bloated after dinner. I have class a few nights a week so breakfast and lunch are my biggest meals.

In the evening, I either make a cup of Natural Vitality Calm or chamomile tea with a splash of milk to help me wind down before bed. I’m asleep by 11pm every night and then get to do it all over again!

BINTO: What product can’t you live without?

I can’t live without my Passion Planner! It may not be considered a wellness “product,” but it keeps me organized and sane which is something I can’t live without!

BINTO: What was the defining moment when you realized you could take your health into your own hands?

I had a health scare when I was 27 and it completely changed the way I approached my health. I had spent the last 10 years pushing my limits and partying a bit too much, when one of my pap smears came back abnormal. I ended up having to get a Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure

(LEEP), and it was the scariest moment of my adult life. While I was fortunate that they caught and removed the abnormal cells before they could progress into cervical cancer, it made me realize that the life I was living was not supportive of optimal health. After that, I stopped drinking and going out as much, I paid more attention to the food I was eating, and I always prioritized my health over social plans.

BINTO: Have you seen your wellness routine evolve over the years?

Yes! My wellness routine has become much more intentional and much more of a priority in the last few years. Last year, I also started learning more about Ayurveda and so now incorporate many Ayurvedic elements into my wellness routine including tongue scraping, dry brushing and oil massage.

BINTO: Do you use BINTO? Do you stick to your routine?

I’m finishing up my first month of BINTO and I love it! I take it after lunch almost every day, and I love that it’s in a handy to do pack since I’m not always home at lunch, plus, it forces me to drink 12oz of water in the middle of the day!

BINTO: Favorite supplement in your pack-Go!

My favorite supplement that has made the biggest difference in my health is the digestive enzyme. I’ve been experiencing some digestive issues over the last few months due to stress (who hasn’t?!), and this has helped my bloating and discomfort after eating drastically.

BINTO: What’s your favorite health or wellness product for your baby?

N/A (I don’t have kids yet )

BINTO: How do you take your routine on the go?

I love that so many products come in travel sizes now! I take Vital Proteins collage on the go with me and I always make sure I have a few Binto pouches in my purse for when I’m on the go or traveling. That being said, I also think there’s something to be said about enjoying your vacation or your trip and being a bit more spontaneous and less focused on sticking to your routine.

BINTO: Do you feel like there is something you’re still searching for in your wellness journey?

Instead of searching for more, I’m actually at the point where I’m trying to do LESS. I love that wellness and health has become trendy, but I unfortunately think it’s getting a little out of hand. People are starting to feel stressed and guilty about all the wellness routines they’re supposed to be doing, but don’t have the time or money to do. So, in 2019, I’m making a concerted effort to go back to the basics and be well with less.
