What Bloom Does For You
The nutrients your pregnancy
actually requires.
Click any benefit to see the clinical thinking behind it.
Supports fetal brain & neural tube development
CRITICAL FROM WEEK ONE
Folate and choline work together in the earliest weeks of pregnancy to support proper neural tube closure and fetal brain formation — often before you even know you're pregnant. Most women don't start prenatal vitamins until after a positive test. That's why we recommend starting Bloom at least three months before trying to conceive.
Supports healthy iron levels & red blood cell productions
ACOG recommended dose
Your iron requirements nearly double during pregnancy as blood volume expands and the placenta develops. Low iron is one of the most common nutritional gaps in pregnancy — and one of the most impactful on your energy, focus, and your baby's development. We use ferrous fumarate at 20mg because it's better tolerated than ferrous sulfate, especially when nausea is already a factor.
Ferrous fumarate is gentler on the stomach than ferrous sulfate, the form found in most off-the-shelf prenatals, without sacrificing absorption.
Easy to take - no bad taste
Size 2 capsules
We use size 2 capsules only. significantly smaller than the oversized gel caps or tablets of traditional prenatal vitamins. Two capsules a day, that's it. Because we know morning sickness is real, and the last thing you need is a vitamin that makes it worse. Small enough to swallow with a few sips of water, even on the days when everything feels impossible.
If swallowing capsules is difficult, size 2 capsules can also be opened and mixed into food or a smoothie without affecting potency.
Nurse Suzie & PA-C Andi
We formulated Bloom because we kept seeing women taking prescription prenatals that were still missing critical nutrients. Most prenatals check the obvious boxes. We went further. Selenium and iodine for thyroid support, both forms of folate, iron, and choline are the nutrients that actually matter during pregnancy, at doses that reflect current clinical evidence. Not what fits on a marketing label."

INGREDIENT 01
L-5-Methylfolate + Folic Acid
400mcg + 600mcg
WHY IT'S IN HERE
Folate is the most critical prenatal nutrient for neural tube development. We include both the methylfolate form and folic acid because folate metabolism varies from woman to woman — including both ensures complete coverage regardless of biology.
ACOG recommends 600–800mcg DFE of folate during pregnancy. We meet that recommendation.

INGREDIENT Highlight 01
Choline
31 mg
WHY IT'S IN HERE
Essential for fetal brain and spinal cord development. Clinical evidence suggests choline requirements increase significantly during pregnancy, yet most prenatals omit it entirely
The Adequate Intake for choline during pregnancy is 450mg/day. Most women get enough through food, but we include it to cover the gap.

INGREDIENT 01
Iron
20mg Ferrous Fumarate
WHY IT'S IN HERE
Iron requirements nearly double during pregnancy as blood volume expands and the placenta develops. Low iron is one of the most common nutritional deficiencies in pregnant women, and one of the most impactful on both maternal energy and fetal development. We use ferrous fumarate, the most gentle form of iron.
Ferrous fumarate is better tolerated than ferrous sulfate for most women, with less GI discomfort - important when constipation is already a factor.

Everything you need to know about the Bloom Prenatal & Postnatal Multivitamin
The Prenatal Kit is a complete system with three separate supplements (multivitamin, algae DHA, and a pregnancy probiotic) in one daily packet. Bloom Prenatal Plus is the multivitamin component in a standalone bottle — for women who want just the multivitamin, or who are adding their own DHA separately.
Ideally 3 months before trying to conceive. Neural tube development occurs in the first weeks of pregnancy, often before a woman knows she's pregnant.
Yes, we use size 2 capsules only, which are significantly smaller than the gel caps in most prenatals. Two capsules per day.
No, trimesters have no scientific bearing on your nutritional needs during pregnancy or on the fetus's nutritional needs. The only time you need to update is if your lab work indicates you need additional iron. If you need that, try our customized daily packets, which let you add additional iron.
